Learn from (Plan)kton

We all know Plankton as the overly competitive nemesis of Mr. Krabs, and is no doubt obsessed in stealing the Krabby Patty secret recipe. But what makes him a more distinctive character is his ceaseless efforts and non-stop ideas in order to achieve his only goal. (Maybe that’s why he has one eye – to FOCUS on his goal. :P)

As we all know, most if not all of his attempts have significantly failed. But after every loss he’s experienced, he always got a Plan B, C, D, E,…and so on for that matter. You really gotta give the guy an award for perseverance.

I guess it’s just in my personality to see things in a different angle, but I do think Plankton is secretly teaching us the importance of planning and how it is essential in achieving our goals. As one of my favorite saying goes:

“The difference between a dream and a goal is a plan.”

Plankton showed us that should Plan A fail, you still have the rest of the alphabet.

I’m pretty sure we all have our dreams, we know what we want and how we want it, but not many knows how to achieve it. While we cannot just do a simple step and expect ground-breaking results, what we can do is break down a seemingly big goal into small achievable steps. It may be a long way but hey, the journey will all be worth it.

The secret is stop dreaming and start working.

If Plankton had the courage to keep on moving, keep on planning despite all his failures, so can you!

Turn your dreams into goals.

Go on and plan.

Go on and plan.

Go on and plan.
